Clean Run Instructor Conference
2008
Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do you need to be an instructor to attend?
Anyone can attend to CRIC! All are invited including:
competitors that want to get pointers and sharpen skills; people who
hope to be agility instructors in the future; assistants; experienced instructors.
2) Will I be "certified" after attending CRIC?
CRIC does not "certify" conference participants. Although
getting "certified" is the new trend in benchmarks for dog
trainers, it is important to understand that standardized testing and
levels of competency are what makes for meaningful certification.
Clean Run and Dogs of Course do not believe that attendance at this conference
would warrant certification. However, we will provide a certificate of
attendance. Your certificate can be displayed at your club or training center to
show that you value continuing education. We believe this to be an
important hallmark of a good instructor.
3) Do I get to select what session I want to attend or will I be
assigned?
It is totally up to you to select the session you would like to
attend. If it does not meet your needs or keep your interest you are
welcome to quietly leave and join another session.
4) How many people will be in the classes?
Because each participant will be selecting her/his sessions, it is
hard to say how many will be in each class. We have selected a
teaching format ( lecture, video and demonstrations) that should be
effective and interesting no matter the size of the group. Participant
registration is limited to 300.
5) Why cant I sign-up for two day or one day registration?
Registration for three day attendees is given priority until April
1, 2008. At that time you will be able to register for less than 3
days if we have space available. If you want to go to the evening
program only or one of the pre-conference sessions you can do so at
any time.
6) Can you hook me up with a roommate or ride share?
We will provide participants with a link to a room/ride share page
on the website to share information after she/he registers. It is your
responsibility to work out the details. If you need to find a room or
ride share before you can make a commitment to attend please contact
Dana and she can give you the link. The link is not accessible to the
public in order to provide some privacy and protection for people who
want to put their information on the list.
7) Is there shuttle service to the host hotel?
There are a variety of shuttle and taxi services. The Best Western
is also providing a special shuttle to the airport or their sister
hotel located at the airport on Sunday night. Specific information is
on the 'Travel & Hotel" page.
8) Is there shuttle service from the hotel to Canine Sports
Recreation Center?
Participants for the Susan Salo jumping clinic must have their own
transportation or take a taxi. You may also post your name on the ride
share page (see #6).
9) How can I print out the information properly?
By changing your paper orientation to landscape (from portrait) all
the information on the website can be printed out on regular paper.
10) How do I pay now if I did not pay at the time I registered?
By Credit Card: Call Clean Run's toll free number during
business hours at 800 - 311-6503. You must tell them exactly what you
want to charge for (CRIC 2008), the name of the participant(s), and how
much money to put on your card as the person you will be speaking to
does not know or have access to the records to get your balance due
information.

at Dogs of Course.
11) When will I get a registration confirmation?
You will receive an e-mail within two business weeks of payment to confirm
that you completed registration.
12) Will you be running CRIC in other parts of the country?
At this time our intention is to stay in the Ann Arbor area for at
least the next couple years. We selected this location as it is
centrally located for United States and Canadian residents. Detroit
airport is a major airport and hub so should minimize the number of
connections for most people flying to the conference.
